Is He Drunk?

So, I think Grady's been drinkin the Kool-Aid. He came back from our fun weekend and started falling off to the side. Not sure how much more attention he can get, but boy is he workin it!

The other day, the lady bean came home to take him to his last puppy class of the spring. Grady was limpin a lil bit, but momma didn't think much of it. The left and called the daddy bean a lil while later saying they was coming home. I thought they were comin to get me cuz obviously, they need my help with all these stoopid doggies around. But no, she came home and Grady was actin funny. He tried to sit down, but he fell off to the side on the floor. I went to check him out and thought his lil game was fun, so I stood over him so he couldn't get up. HeeHee I like to play that game with him.

But then, he was just standing there and started leaning on the couch while the beans made our din-dins. Next thing I knew, he was on the floor! WHOA! Whatchu been drinkin Sissy LaLa and why aren't you sharin?

The beans seemed really worried. They took him to the vet the next morning and came back with more drugs for Grady. They said he is in alot of pain. His tumor is back in his shoulder and is having trouble keeping his balance. They also said that the vet thought he might have had a seesure?  c-sure? seizure.

So, seems like Grady just can't get enough of attention these days. His big win and gets lots of attention, now he gets drunk and gets lots of attention.

I'm seriously doing something wrong here....

Still Just a Beginner

The momma bean had been talkin about gettin a title for Grady. I guess she doesn't like the one I have for him, so she's gotta get her own. So, for the past few weeks, she's been takin Grady to puppy classes and working on trying to smarten him up. Here's a video of her tryin to get him smart...

I think he still needs work, but...that sissy lala thinks he's so smart.

Last weekend, the beans took us far away and we stayed at another home for a couple of nights. At first, I thought they were taken us to the special doctors, but when the suitcases came out, I didn't think they kept beans overnight at the vets. So, we were a bit confused. Then when we went bye-byes and got to the new house (they called it a hotel), all our stuff came with us. So, it was like a little vacation! I was so excited, but a bit nervous with all the noise and the smells. Eventually Sissy LaLa and I settled down and went nite-nites.

And Grady with the Daddy Bean. They was watchin hockey together, being boys. Momma Bean and I were hangin out, lettin them be boys.

The next morning, the beans took us to a big building with lots of other doggies for me to play with. I think those doggies must live there cuz all of them brought their own crates to hang out in. I went to go investigate and see the doggies in their "houses" but Momma kept tellin me to "leave it." I didn't quite get that, thought we were there to play. I just wanted to say "hi's" to all of them cuz I knoooowwww they wanted to play with me! I mean come on, how can you resist the Queen Dumbass?!

I was surprised when the beans tried to put me and Grady into a house together. Usually, they take this house to Grady's training camps and stuff, what the heck was I doing here? Still very very confused!

We sat there all days. Sometimes, my whining would get me out of the crate and for a walk, but most of the time, I had to sit in there and watch the other doggies. There was a space where the other doggies got to go out and do stuff, then they'd win ribbons and TOYS!!!!! I kept waiting for my turn, I know how to sit, walk around in circles, and lay down (I do that one VERY well!) but sadly, my time never came. However, OF COURSE, Grady got to go out there and do that stuff. My only guess is that it's for stoopid dogs to see if they ares gettin smart or summin and that's why Grady had to go and not me. It makes perfect sense if you think about it.

So, apparently Grady was the bestest at walking around people and stuff cuz he got a blue ribbon ( the beans called it 1st place again) and he got a Monkey toy!! He sure does loves his monkey toy - he has like a millions of them and won't let me play with any of them. So, I knew....paws off da monkey! Supposedly, this one was "special."

With the judge lady who said Grady is officially smart now: (she may need new glasses, I dunno)

Grady scored a 193.5 out of 200 points, so I guess he's not that smart, eh? I can do math and that's like 7 bazillion points of for being a Sissy LaLa, that I am sure of!

So after he got his toys and stuff, we went back to that hotel place again and the next morning, back to the doggie play place. Grady needed to show them one more time that he's gettin smart, I guess, so we had to go back. I was still not sure if they'd need me to show them all how it's done, so I waited patiently....sadly, my time never came.

But, Grady had to walk around in circles for a new judge (guess they wised up that the last judge needed new glasses and was not very smart herself) and again.....he earned another blue ribbon and another toy! Seriously, what is wrong with these judges? They broken!!

This judge (look at him, he's laughing at Grady too!) gave him a score of 196.5 out of 200. Still ot sure how 400 bajillion points off make Grady smart, but whatever...

This time, the beans said he got his "title." They called him a Beginner Novice now, so I guess that means he's "sorta" smart? I say "sorta" cuz I know those judges were not very smart to give him 2 first place finishes, blue ribbons and all those toys. They don't live with him. But momma bean was happy, I guess because Grady is so sick that it made her feel good to have those ribbons. Maybe the judges felt sorry for her. There were alot of people there cheering for Grady cuz they found out he has cancer, so I guess it's ok to throw the dawg a bone every now and then (wait...bones?! where?! I want one!).

Momma Bean says he is now Branwen's Northern Sky BN RA CGC. She said I'm not allowed to call him Sissy LaLa anymore. I agreed.....but she didn't know I had my paws crossed! hehe

So after all that excitement, they still didn't need my help to show all these doggies what a Queen is all about, so we packed up and went home. I was a bit glad to get out of there though.....cuz sittin around watching all these doggies be stoopid, was a bit tiring for me.

In the car we go....Whatcha doin back there? Are we there yet?

We got home and Grady was all "lookie at what I got!" I let him have his glory....it's not often that broken judges give you the ok's to think you're smart.

He played with that monkey all day long back home.

Meanwhile, I took a nap. Being Queen, you gotta catch up on your beauty sleep every now and then.

Be Werry Werry Qwiet. I'm Huntin Wabbits!

So last weekend was Easter weekend. I heard Easter's the day when a big bunny sneaks in your house and hides little eggs with goodies inside all around. I was very intrigued by this for a few reasons:

1) Where's da bunny? We got unfinished biznez to take care of!
2) I ain't lettin nuttin sneak in MY house! Even a bunny with treats! (well, hold that thought)
3) Eggs? Mmmmmm I like eggs and especially kinds with goodies inside.

However, I was a little disturbed that this sneaky bunny was hiding my goodies so I had to find them. Even that stupid bunny is gonna make me work for da yummy goodies? This conspiracy has got to STOP!

However, as with everything I do, I went along with it. Besides, if it's for yummy treats and eggs....I'll do anything for a goody.
But no one told me the sneaky bunny was the lady bean!!! I was totally robbed! No wonder I was a little leary about this whole thing. It was just another silly set up, from the human beans, to make me entertain them. I don't think I look like the entertainment committee. Besides....I'm da Queen....'member?

Nonetheless, Grady and I entertained her and went out to find the stupid plastic easter eggs. Again....robbed....not even REAL eggs! BUT there was real liver inside them, so I was fine with that. Yes, REAL liver....if she tried to fake me on bunnies, eggs AND liver....she'd be wearin shoes with holes in them next time she goes to work. Trust me.

So here's Grady finding the easter eggs. He's so stupid, I don't know about you, but I can totally see them in this video.

I think even in this pic, Grady's like....ummmm, yeh. it's right dere stupid bean!

So then, the lady bean had me go out there to find them too. Luckily, I quickly found a WHOLE BUNCHA them right there on the table. Momma Bean is not very good at this hiding bunny stuff.

But, she wasn't happy with that, so I had to go "Find" more for her. She's so lazy. These things are right in her face and she makes ME find them for her? Beans are stupid too! I still tried pointing out to her that there was a whole bunch right there on the table, but beans are never satisified...

And yeh, I played into it a lil bit. Here mom....ohhhhh lookie! another one right there on the ground, right for you to see. see it? right next to that big bucket that Grady pees on. Bet it was nice hiding that egg under there. you're sucha clever lil hooman bean, mom. so glad I could help you find this obviously placed plastic egg. that was a tough find. whew!

Ok, mom. Really? Is this game over now?

Apparently, finding strategically placed plastic eggs full of beef liver, wears out the Sissy LaLa. He snored like this for 2 days straight....

But as you see.....I am still the Queen! When you got it....you got it.

We did have to entertain the lady bean one more time with a picture out in the yard. We had just finished sniffin some poop that stupid bunny left behind and she happened to call us to get a treat. Only time she gets my attention is when she mentions the word "treat." Altho, it was kinda hard to resist the smell of fresh bunny poop, just for another chance to entertain her one more time this weekend.

A Week Late....Sad News

Well, this post is late. I shoulda updated last week, after Grady's first Beginner Novice leg, but I wasn't ready yet. You see, Grady's trial last weekend was cut short. He was supposed to compete Friday, Saturday and Sunday. He earned his first leg on Friday, but Saturday morning he woke up pretty sick.

Throughout the week, Grady kept waking up having these attacks. He would start hacking and having trouble breathing and eventually coughed up this stuff that made the hooman beans really worried. They said it had a lil bit of blood in it. It was only a couple of times and the hoomans thought maybe it was because they were sleeping with the windows open, since it seemed to only happen in the morning. So, they were going to keep an eye on it, but knew it wasn't normal for Grady's usual allergy attacks.

But Saturday, the 2nd of the trial, he woke up and was having more trouble. He started breathing really funny, tried coughing up, some pink stuff came out and he was really, really tired. So, the lady hooman bean said she wasn't sure if they would go to the trial. I had a really big party planned, so I was hoping Grady would stop so they would go.

They sat with him for a while and he finally calmed down. He seemed like he wanted to go bye-byes, so the lady said they'd go and take it one step at a time. So, they got ready, got in the car and away they went.

About an hour and a half later, they came back, dropped off the stuff from the trial, called the doctor and left me again. But before they left, the sat outside for a little while, sitting and petting Grady, acting very worried. I'm not sure what happened at the trial when they got there, but it didn't seem like good news.

So they get back in the car and head down to the doctor. When they came back, they were very sad. Grady came in, feeling really tired, but happy to be home. I was kinda happy he was home too. All this worry had me worried about what was going on.

But they had pictures. Grady told me, it wasn't good news. Seems Grady's cancer is now spread to his lungs. There are 3 bumps on his lungs that are what is causing all his coughing up stuff and breathings funnies.

So, the hoomans are sad. They are very worried about Grady. I spent alot of time this week, trying to get Grady to play....but he wasn't all that interested. They put him on meds, which seemed to help. He didn't have any attacks all week, but he got really skinny all of a sudden.

I think he just wants to be a food hog. <rolleyes> That dog will do anything for attention.

He's Just a Beginner (Novice)

So, after almost TWO whole weeks of the beans making me stay in the crate, I'm finally out and raising hell once again! I think next time I want some attenion, I'll rethink that whole "I hurt my leg" thing again. Seems they just throw me in that wire house and tell me to be calm.

Hellooooo? Are they new?

Anyway, since my freedom, I've been trying to lay low. Grady was entered in a trial and the lady bean was takin him all sorts of places to "practice." I seriously don't know why he has to practice so much. But he obviously needs it, otherwise the Momma wouldn't keep taking him out again....and again....and again....for "practice." It's like remedial doggeh training. He has to keep repeating the classes til he gets it right, I guess.

Anyway, he had his trial this weekend. They competed on Friday and well.....I guess all that practice paid off, cuz Grady got 1st Place!

The lady hooman bean said she messed up alot and says each time she watches the video, she sees things she did wrong. I guess maybe *SHE* needs the extra practice next time, cuz I think Grady had it right and she's the one who says she screwed up.

But, the lady bean was happy that they still got 1st place. Fortunately, she said, a couple of the other dogs didn't even qualify...

ok, side note here....these dogs just walk around a ring and can't even qualify doing that?! Can I sign up for this gig cuz I know I can totally do this better than they can! Heck, next time, let me take Grady in the ring since the lady bean seems to keep screwing up.

Anyway, you can see the scores below. They were # 73 and got a score of 191.5. Still.....I coulda totally done better.

They were totally shocked when they got 1st place. The lady bean said she figured they'd get 4th....which I guess is still good considering there were 6 dogs, 1 absent and 2 didn't qualify. (she's not very good at math!)

And Grady was so nice. He got to bring home a toy for his win, but the lady bean let him walk through the shops at the trial and he could pick out something to bring back to me. He brought home bully sticks!!!! YAY!!!!

Nom Nom Nom Nom!

Nom Nom Nom Nom!

OK, he's ok in my book if he brings me bully sticks when mom messes up at the trials. I can live with that.

This was after the first day at the trial. He was a bit pooped. But it was his last trial, so I let him sleep on my side of the couch and snuggle my blankey.

Thanks for the bully sticks Grady!!!!

I'm So Fired?!

I know, I know. It's been a really long time since my last post. I think it's been a couple of weeks, but in doggy years, it feels like 1.25 years. So, that's a very long time. The lady bean said if I don't update ya'll on everything, that I'm "sooooooo fired."  Not sure what that means, but I'm hoping it has something to do with me being cooler than Grady again, cuz even tho he doesn't get anymore radiators - he still gets all the attention.

Here's Grady's shoulder one week after no more radiators. Still gone. He's all better now, right?! I think so....

It's been 2 weeks now since his last treatment and he's doing very good. The lady bean had to go outta town again and when she came home, he started pulling that limping game again. I told him to stop being a sissy la-la and pretending to be hurt cuz I'm gonna tell her the truth! He's a FAKER!!!!

The next day, he stopped. <surprise, surprise> Guess threatening to rat him out changed his mind. Dumb Dawg. He's so easy.

So after that, it was life as normal.

We got a special treat from a friend that the lady bean saw in Texas. She sent us some yummy treats. I told Grady they were for me, but he still tried to get some. So, since he wasn't hurt no more, I proceeded to my normal way of telling him to back off.....<POW!>

Didn't work. He still got some. <I swear!>

And just when I thought the world was back in my favor, Grady started digging under the fence. I think he was trying to get out. Sissy lala doesn't like me torturing him again. Get over it. But whatev. The beans caught him. So what did they do?

Laughed. Told him to stop. And he did (who does that!!?) And then took a pic?
Really?!!! If it was me, they'd tell me I'm out lockdown til further notice.

But we got to hang outside for a lil bit. The weather's been really nice lately. It's like Spring already. And we love Spring time cuz we get to hang outside a bit longer....

We go back on squirrel and chipmunk watch ...

Grady is always on chipmunk duty....inside or outside...

We get to lay in the nice warm sun and work on our tans... (and Grady still hogs all the sun from me!)

We look for bunnies in the front yard....

BUT.....somehow, this is what Spring means to the beans...

I don't know who Saint Paddy is, but I want to bite him!

He hasn't quite figured out that if you look cute when they do this dumb stuff, they keep doing it.

Then, to top it off, they took Grady to a race! The Lady Bean ran a 5k. I don't know what a 5k is, but if it's only 5, that is nothing....I'm 7!!! But, they took him to go watch and again....left me home. Something about my hips and knees couldn't handle it. They didn't ask me what I thought, so I just stayed home and tore up a toy while they left and had funs. I make my own fun, so no prob for me. And I get to watch em clean it up!

Grady and the male bean were her cheering section...

Grady givin mom bean the pep talk before the race. Actually, he was checkin out all the other doggies, but she felt better saying it was a pep talk. If she ever learns to speak doggy, she'll be so disappointed.

But after the lady bean ran her 5 k's, Grady said they took him on the 1 mile with the lil kids. Big Whoop! He had to race against lil kids. Ooooohhhhh tough doggy! <whatever!>

Here he is crossing the finish line. They both look really happy, but I guess that's how you feel when you race against little kids and beat them. Meanies!

So today, I decided to one up em all!!! The hooman beans were in the kitchen, once again makin special din-dins for Grady. I took a page out of Grady's book and pretended to get scared at a funny noise and started limping again. They got so worried. I got special massages! I got lots of kissies!

Hahahahaha!!! My plan worked!!!! Maybe Grady ain't so stoopid afterall! Maybe there's something to his fakin being hurt? Maybe....

Wait a minute! What did they do to me now?! I'm in JAIL!?!?!?!!!
Well this is CRAP! How the heck do they figure this is fair? Grady limps and he gets special doctor visits. He gets radiators and special meals. And let's not forget all the special attention, hugs and kissies they give him. I limp and I get put on lockdown??!!

And I really don't appreciate Grady telling me I'm doing it wrong....

If this is being fired....I'm so sorry, Mom! I updated my blog! I promise to stop limping. Can I get out now please?

YAY!!! No More Radiators!!

Today was Grady's last day of special doctors, going bye-byes and leaving me here by myself and last day of his radiation therarpy. It's been 6 weeks....a long 6 weeks....and 6 treatments, but the beans are happy with how he's gotten better.

This is what his boo-boo looks like today (the day of his last radiation):

And just to give an idea of what it looked like before radiation. This pic was taken on January 7, 2012:

So that big lump is gone and because of that, the beans said he doesn't have to have those radiator treatments anymore. Which is great....cuz he comes home all tired and smells funny each time they take him.
